Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required, some college preferred.
• Experience: Previous emergency or security dispatch experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge and Skills: Ability to communicate under pressure, multitask, and use computers; CPR/AED certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Determine priorities for service response and coordinate on‑site safety force activities.
• Operate multiple channel radio consoles, telephones and CAD systems; monitor alarms and cameras.
• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls; dispatch and monitor unit locations and statuses.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly under stressful circumstances.
• Produce dispatch records and maintain on-call schedules per policy.
