Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• KCJIS access required and eligibility.
• Must be at least 18 years old; no felony or serious misdemeanor conviction.
• Five years of increasingly responsible dispatch experience; police radio and computer experience required (REJIS, NCIC).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and review dispatch staff on assigned shift.
• Assign dispatchers, schedule, and train.
• Operate and monitor CAD and communications systems.
• Respond to emergencies and oversee weather/alarms.
• Maintain unit activity records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and CJIS policies.
