Job summary

Dohrn Transfer Company, LLC is seeking a Full Time City Dispatcher at our Kansas City terminal. You will oversee P+D operations for City Dispatch and coordinate with multiple terminal locations to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication and leadership, and the ability to manage daily performance, dock efficiency, and routing while upholding safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver License.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work any shift.
• Must be able to perform all Operations jobs in the Terminal.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Oversee City Dispatch operations for multiple terminals.
• Route City operations.
• Manage daily city pickup and delivery for on-time service and cost control.
• Ensure on-time delivery and minimize returns.
• Monitor Line Haul operations.
• Monitor dock performance and adjust manpower.
• Resolve problems regarding lost and missing freight.
• Communicate with other departments for smooth operations.
• Work safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Process daily paperwork related to the job.
• Perform other duties as needed.
