Job summary

Responsibilities include updating wait times, explaining treatment plans and costs, collecting deposits, and presenting financing options such as CareCredit and Scratchpay. Must be flexible with 5 x 8-hour shifts, weekends and holidays in a fast-paced ER setting.

Qualifications

• Required: Experience in customer service within a veterinary hospital or emergency clinic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, emotionally sensitive environments
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Proficient with computers and cloud-based systems (ezyVet/SmartFlow a plus)

Responsibilities

• Client Communication & Support: Serve as primary non-clinical liaison during emergency visits; provide real-time updates on wait times, status, and care expectations; greet and escort clients to exam rooms; communicate treatment plans and financial estimates; collect deposits using mobile payments; present financing options such as CareCredit and Scratchpay; provide ongoing updates regarding patient status and cost changes.
