Job summary

Corewell Health's Lenox Township outpatient ED is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant. Under the supervision of an RN, you will perform delegated patient care tasks and support the care team in delivering high-quality care to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant experience as nursing assistant, inpatient caregiver, paramedic, EMT, urgent care caregiver, or Nursing Student (preferred completion of a Medical Surgical rotation).
• BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC).
• Preferred: EMT license (MI).

Responsibilities

• Assists under RN supervision with routine bedside nursing tasks.
• Performs higher-level tasks per competencies and supervision, including vital signs and basic procedures.
• Reinforces patient teaching and directs aftercare explanations.
• Performs dressing changes, catheterization support, specimen collection, and wound care as directed by the nurse/physician.
• Documents patient information accurately in the medical record and participates in discharge processes.
• Maintains sterile technique and supports safe patient movement and transport.
