Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a nursing assistant to support the Emergency Department with direct patient care and daily activities. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing basic care tasks, vital signs, and documentation to help maintain a safe, compassionate patient experience.

This role supports a high-reliability organization focused on safety, quality, and efficiency. The position is on-site with variable shifts, totaling 24 hours per week, in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 16- and 17-year-old individuals without a high school diploma or GED will be considered only if they have a valid work permit.
• 18-year-old individuals enrolled in high school do not need a high school diploma/GED/work permit to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN in direct patient care and basic tasks on a designated nursing unit.
• Perform delegated nursing tasks that do not require clinical judgment and document data accurately.
• Support patients, families, and staff; prepare supplies and transport items as needed.
