Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to support Emergency and Cardiology teams. You will monitor anesthesia, perform radiographs, triage emergencies, monitor vitals, and assist with critical care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician in emergency/cardiology settings.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and patient vitals.
• Comfort with radiography and critical care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia and use monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergencies and record vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Interpret vital signs and alert veterinarian to changes.
• Assist with CPR and resuscitation when needed.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement in peripheral vessels.
• Place feeding tubes and central line catheters as required.
• Mentor and train fellow staff; address client concerns.
