Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Irvine, CA is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to support both Cardiology and Emergency departments. The role offers $23-$37 per hour and the opportunity to work with anesthesia, triage emergencies, and perform radiography.

You will monitor anesthesia, manage patient vitals, perform phlebotomy and IV placement, and assist with feeding tubes and central lines. The hospital supports education and pet care benefits.

Qualifications

• Experienced Veterinary Technician with at least some exposure to emergency or cardiology settings.
• Ability to induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Proficiency in radiography and patient positioning.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia using appropriate equipment.
• Triage emergencies and monitor vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs; alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters; manage lines and access.
• Assist with feeding tube placement and central line care.
• Mentor and train co-workers; address client concerns.
