BluePearl Pet Hospital in Irvine, CA is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our busy Emergency department on a relief schedule. Pay ranges from $23 to $40 per hour depending on skills and leveling through our competency tool.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage cases, perform digital radiography, obtain vitals, and assist with IV access, medications, and CPR as needed. Growth and mentoring are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician in an emergency setting.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia, triage cases, and support critical patients.
• Comfort with client communication and high-stress scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia and use monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and record vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Interpret vital signs and alert veterinarians to changes.
• Assist with CPR and advanced life support as needed.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement; med administration routes.
