BluePearl Irvine is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to support our Emergency Department. You will triage emergencies, monitor vitals, perform radiography, and assist with anesthesia, venous access, and patient care.

The role emphasizes compassionate client communication, mentorship of staff, and ongoing learning within a fast-paced hospital environment. Competitive hourly pay and shift differentials are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an emergency veterinary department.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and care for critically ill or injured pets.
• Strong commitment to mentoring and training coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Monitor vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Calculate medical doses and administer medications.
• Phlebotomy and placing IV catheters.
• Place feeding tubes and central lines.
• Monitor anesthesia.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
