Qualifications

• Masters degree in Psychology or Social Work required.
• Two years of psychiatric experience preferred.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure preferred.
• Knowledge of Illinois Confidentiality Act, Illinois Mental Health Code, EMTALA and ILPA progress.
• Computer training/experience, crisis intervention and risk assessment, customer service skills, leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to inquiry calls regarding services and provides information/referrals.
• Oversees admission process including appropriateness of admission and completion of paperwork.
• Coordinates with physicians, social workers, and treatment team; handles pre-certifications and benefit verifications.
• Obtains billing and insurance information and assigns unit/program.
• Conducts tours of the Hospital and trains staff in admission processes and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with laws and maintains data/records for intake and admission.
