Job summary

The position operates on a 2-2-3 schedule, includes rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, and requires passing a background check, physical, and drug test.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must hold a Wisconsin driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must pass a criminal history background check, physical and drug test prior to employment.
• Public safety experience or call center experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Answer 911 emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Identify call nature and dispatch police, fire, medical or other units.
• Prioritize calls based on urgency and provide information to responders.
• Provide Emergency Medical Dispatch to callers until units arrive.
• Operate CAD, E911, and related computer systems and update records.
• Maintain accurate status updates for all resources in CAD.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, alone or with a team.
• Maintain radio contact with public safety personnel as needed.
• Follow FCC rules and department policies for radio operations.
• Attend training and maintain knowledge of equipment and procedures.
