Job summary

Waupaca County Sheriff's Office is seeking a 911 Telecommunicator to join the Communications Center in a full-time role. You will answer emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatch police, fire, and medical units, and provide EMD instructions to callers.

You will operate CAD/E911/TIME systems with strict attention to accuracy and safety. The position requires flexible weekend and holiday availability on a 24/7 schedule, with a rotating 2-2-3 shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass criminal history background check, physical, and drug test.
• Ability to communicate effectively and precisely, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Answer 911 and non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate units.
• Provide Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) to callers until units arrive.
• Operate and monitor CAD, E911, and TIME systems; maintain accurate status updates.
