Job summary

Databricks is seeking a world-class leader to head and grow the EMEA Forward Deployed AI Engineering team in London. You will recruit, mentor, and scale a high-impact AI/ML services group and manage a portfolio of key accounts.

You will cultivate executive relationships with CIO/CDO-level stakeholders, align with Field Engineering and Sales, and shape the product roadmap via delivery learnings and customer voice. This role is remote within the UK region.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing, hiring, and building a team of data scientists/ML engineers.
• Deep ML/GenAI expertise and curiosity to stay up-to-date in a rapidly changing field.
• Experience leading teams building production ML solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven success in developing a strategy with senior executive stakeholders to define program-level goals and build trust.
• Demonstrated cross-functional leadership with Sales, Product, and GTM teams.
• “Company-first” mindset and leadership presence.
• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a world-class AI/ML professional services team, including hiring, mentoring, and building a team structure for long-term growth.
• Develop and expand executive relationships with EMEA customers and partners at VP+/CIO/CDO levels.
• Align with Field Engineering and Sales Leaders to define joint strategies for strategic accounts and ensure delivery coordination.
• Lead strategic AI PS initiatives, practice development, and standardized delivery processes for repeatable engagement models.
• Shape cross-functional collaboration by influencing Product, R&D, and GTM to inform roadmaps and strategy.
• Own OKRs for AI-services led accounts, revenue, utilization, and public references.
• Represent Databricks as a thought leader in AI/ML.
