Fireworks is seeking an AI Field Engineer to embed with customers and partners, turning complex AI problems into production systems. You will balance hands-on coding with executive-level conversations about architecture, strategy, and outcomes, often on-site with enterprise clients.

The role emphasizes technical delivery, model strategy, and strong customer engagement as GenAI becomes core to client offerings and competitive advantage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a hands-on, customer-facing technical role.
• Ability to build production software with customers and ship code.
• Strong Python skills; comfortable with Kubernetes and infra engineering.
• Knowledge of the LLM stack and fine-tuning workflows.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP and GPU deployment.
• Exceptional communication for discovery calls and VP-level discussions.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end POCs and MVPs with customer engineering teams.
• Architect inference foundations and scale deployments for production.
• Run load tests, establish latency/cost baselines, tune deployments.
• Deploy and validate model families on inference frameworks.
• Lead discovery conversations and own technical relationships with customers.
