Job summary

HCT America, based in Milpitas, CA, seeks an EMC Test Technician II to join the on-site testing lab. You will perform radiated and conducted EMC tests, document results, and ensure regulatory compliance with FCC, CISPR, EN, and IEC standards.

You will work hands-on with EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, LISNs, antennas, RF amplifiers, and ESD/EFT gear, supporting pre-compliance and data integrity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years direct EMC lab experience.
• Degree preferred but extensive experience accepted.
• Experience testing to FCC Part 15B and EN 55032/55035.
• Familiarity with automotive/radio standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run radiated and conducted emissions tests per FCC/CISPR/EN/IEC standards.
• Review standards and test plans before each project and select setup, equipment, and DUT mode.
• Operate EMC test equipment (EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, LISNs, antennas, RF amplifiers, ESD/EFT/generators).
• Record complete test data, setup photos, logs, and deviations; draft clear test reports.
• Train and guide technicians on setups, equipment use, and lab safety.
• Perform other lab duties and project support as assigned.
