CAEtech seeks an EMC Test Technician to support electromagnetic compatibility testing and validation in Saginaw, Michigan. This is a full-time contract position with benefits and is suitable for entry-level or early-career technicians with some EMC testing background.

The technician will set up devices, operate RF/EMC test equipment, monitor tests, and document results while assisting with reports and method development. Typical first shift is 8:00 AM–4:30 PM on-site.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Entry-level candidates with appropriate electrical/electronics education and hands-on technical capability may be considered.
• Familiarity with EMC and RF testing technologies.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Basic soldering and circuit-construction skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Perform EMC testing and validation per established procedures and requirements.
• Prepare and set up devices under test for EMC evaluation.
• Operate EMC laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Monitor tests and accurately record test conditions, observations and results.
• Prepare test reports and supporting technical documentation.
• Communicate test status, results and issues with test requestors and engineering personnel.
• Support development and implementation of new EMC test methods.
• Follow ISO 17025 practices and laboratory requirements.
