Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks an EMC lab technician to join our Red Ink EMC lab in a fulltime role. You will set up equipment, perform EMC tests, document results, and assist with troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have 2+ years in an electrical lab, an associate degree or equivalent experience, and strong attention to detail. The role includes safety-focused responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to lab improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology or related field.
• Alternatively, a High School diploma with 4+ years in an electrical test lab.
• 2+ years with electrical principles, test equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to read basic electrical schematics and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment, cables, antennas, probes, and test fixtures per lab procedures.
• Perform pre-compliance EMC testing per standards and internal requirements.
• Operate test equipment like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and generators.
• Document results and observations in standardized reports.
• Troubleshoot setups and resolve basic equipment issues.
• Communicate test status and findings to engineering staff.
• Develop familiarity with EMC standards, test methods, and lab practices.
• Support preventative maintenance and continuous improvement in the lab.
• Ensure lab safety procedures are followed by all personnel.
