Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an EMC Technician 1 for the Red Ink EMC Lab to support developmental and pre‑compliance EMC testing on a hands‑on level. You will learn to operate specialized test equipment, set up configurations, collect data, and support a safe, organized lab environment.

The role offers entry‑level responsibilities with room to grow in EMC standards knowledge and lab practices, while working a 1:00–9:30pm split shift in an active engineering lab.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical engineering technology or related technical field, or a high school diploma with 2+ years in an electrical test lab.
• Able to work independently and follow engineers' directions with accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment, cables, antennas, probes, and test fixtures per lab procedures.
• Perform pre-compliance EMC testing following international standards.
• Operate lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.) and document results.
• Troubleshoot test setups and resolve basic configuration issues.
• Communicate test status and findings to engineering staff.
• Maintain lab safety and participate in continuous improvement.
