Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an EMC Technician 1 to join the Red Ink EMC Lab. This entry-level role supports developmental and pre-compliance EMC testing of Milwaukee Tool’s products, learning to operate specialized test equipment, set up and troubleshoot configurations, collect data, and maintain a safe lab environment.

Shift is 1:00-9:30pm, with duties including setup of fixtures, testing to standards, data recording, troubleshooting, and collaborating with engineers to ensure quality results in

Qualifications

• Entry-level EMC technician role supporting pre-compliance EMC testing.
• Learn to operate test equipment and set up configurations per lab procedures.
• Maintain organized, safe lab environment and document results.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment, cables, antennas, probes, and fixtures per lab procedures and schedule.
• Perform pre-compliance EMC testing per international standards and internal requirements.
• Operate test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
• Document results and observations in standard test reports.
• Assist with troubleshooting test setups and configuration issues.
• Communicate status, issues, and findings to engineering staff.
• Develop familiarity with EMC standards, test methods, and lab practices.
• Support preventative maintenance and continuous improvement in the lab.
