Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks an EMC Senior Technician to join the Red Ink EMC Lab, performing pre‑compliance EMC testing on a range of products. You’ll handle spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, and related equipment, documenting results and collaborating with engineering teams.

The role features a 1:00–9:30 pm shift and requires strong attention to detail. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology or related technical field.
• In lieu of an associate’s degree, a High School diploma accompanied by 4+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of overall experience with electrical principles, test equipment, life/performance test procedures and methods, with at least 3 years in an EMC lab.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all testing is accurately setup and executed according to lab procedures and schedule.
• Perform pre-compliance EMC testing per international standards and internal requirements.
• Operate spectrum analyzers, signal generators, amplifiers, receivers, oscilloscopes and related lab equipment.
• Monitor tests and document results and observations in standardized test reports.
• Identify and resolve test setup and measurement issues to ensure robust data.
• Communicate test status and significant findings to laboratory engineering staff.
• Support maintenance and continuous improvement of the lab.
