Job summary

TÜV SÜD America Inc. is seeking an EMC Test Engineer in New Brighton, MN. The role focuses on EMC testing and evaluation to support global regulatory compliance in an accredited laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include operating EMC test equipment, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025. Travel domestically and internationally may be required; onsite work model offers hands-on lab exposure and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of EMC testing principles and lab practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including2nd/3rd shifts.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Perform EMC testing per national and international standards in labs and at customer sites.
• Operate EMC test equipment and measurement instruments.
• Document results and maintain technical records for certification.
• Review standards, test plans, and project requirements for proper execution.
• Support audits and continuous improvement in the lab.
• Provide technical support and status updates to customers and teams.
