Actalent seeks an experienced Test Engineer in Fort Collins, CO to drive EMC/EMI validation across product development cycles. You will plan, run, and document tests, analyze results, and partner with electrical design engineers to strengthen EMC performance for power-generation systems and related markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on EMC/EMI testing experience in an engineering capacity.
• Ability to independently execute EMC test plans from setup through completion.
• Experience with IEC/EN standards and related revisions.
• Strong electrical engineering foundation and exposure to power systems.
• Proficient use of spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and EMC test tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute EMC/EMI validation efforts during product development timelines.
• Independently run EMC test plans, including setup, execution, data collection, and documentation.
• Analyze EMC test data and identify likely failure mechanisms and trends.
• Provide design feedback to electrical engineering teams based on test findings.
• Collaborate with design engineers to resolve EMC issues and drive improvements.
• Support radiated and conducted emissions and immunity testing for power-generation products.
• Operate spectrum analyzers, generators, amplifiers, oscilloscopes, and EMC software.
• Ensure testing aligns with IEC and EN standards and current revisions.
• Contribute to PCB layout discussions to improve EMC performance.
• Assist in guiding design decisions to meet development milestones.
