Milwaukee Tool is seeking an EMC Technician 2 to join the Red Ink EMC Lab in Wisconsin. You will support developmental and pre-compliance EMC testing, operate test equipment, set up configurations, collect data, and maintain a safe laboratory environment.

Shift: 1st shift 8:00am–4:30pm. You will troubleshoot test setups, document results, and communicate significant findings to engineering staff while improving lab practices and procedures.

Qualificações

• Associate degree in electrical/electronics field or 4+ years in lab environment in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years with electrical principles, test equipment, and test procedures.
• Ability to read and understand basic electrical schematics and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail; able to follow procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Set up equipment, cables, antennas, probes, and test fixtures according to lab procedures.
• Perform pre-compliance EMC testing per applicable standards and internal requirements.
• Operate electronic test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, amplifiers, receivers, oscilloscopes, and other lab instruments.
• Monitor tests and document results and observations in standardized reports.
• Assist with troubleshooting test setups and resolve equipment or configuration issues.
• Communicate test status and findings to engineering staff clearly.
• Develop familiarity with EMC standards, test methods, and lab practices.
• Support lab preventative maintenance and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure lab safety procedures are followed by all personnel in the EMC lab.
