Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, seeks an EMI/EMC Engineering Co-op for Spring/Summer 2027 in Rockford, IL. You will support EMI/EMC activities on advanced products and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen flight-system safety and reliability.

You will work with senior EMI/EMC engineers, develop expertise in EMC topics, and participate in testing, documentation, and process improvements while growing your skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetic Compatibility, or related STEM and enrolled through internship/co-op.
Experience with EMC design and aerospace standards MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, DO-160.

Responsibilities

Support development and qualification activities for EMI/EMC programs including testing and documentation.
Assist in generating technical plans, procedures, and reports under senior engineer guidance.
Collaborate with EMI/EMC engineers to grow EMC expertise and share knowledge.
Coordinate EMI/EMC development, qualification, and certification testing across teams and suppliers.
Identify process improvements to accelerate schedules and realize cost savings.
