Job summary

Apple seeks an EMC Design Engineer in Cupertino to design and optimize EMC solutions for Apple products, ensuring compliance with EMC requirements and regulations. You will work with cross-functional teams, conduct design reviews, and develop comprehensive test plans to guide problem-solving.

You will analyze test data, share best practices, and contribute to first-pass success on future designs. Requires a BSEE or equivalent and EMC/ESD/RF experience, with occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent experience.
• EMC, ESD, RF and signal integrity experience.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with other engineers and cross-functional partners.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willing and able to travel internationally to Apple sites, vendors, and contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Review enclosures, connectors, and cables for EMC compliance.
• Review PCB schematics and layouts for emissions and immunity control.
• Partner with vendors to meet system-level EMC requirements.
• Prepare test plans, supervise execution, and compile reports.
• Define validation requirements and train test engineers.
• Troubleshoot EMC issues and propose design fixes with cross-functional input.
• Analyze data from designs, present findings, and recommend changes.
