Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a skilled EM/EMC engineer to contribute to cutting-edge electromagnetic design work across consumer electronics. In this role, you’ll be involved in various electromagnetic (EM) design and technology projects that focus on EMC/ESD/EMI/RFE (RF Exposure) to achieve the best-in-class EM performance for Apple products. Description

In this role, you’ll conduct EM simulations on various topics to aid in the development of cutting-edge consumer electronics products. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex EMC/ESD/EMI/RFE challenges. We’re seeking an individual who consistently seeks new knowledge, possesses self-starting qualities, and can work independently with remarkable success. Additionally, we value someone passionate about solving novel and challenging problems through innovative solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An MSEE in an EMC or EM-related field3+ years of experience with EM simulation software such as CST, ANSYS, EMCoS, and/or COMSOL.
  • Deep understanding of EM physics in the areas of EMC, EMI, and/or RFE.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be highly motivated and must have excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in EMC or EM related field5+ years of experience with EM simulation software such as CST, ANSYS, EMCoS, and/or COMSOL.
  • 5+ years of experience in EM related area such as EMC, antenna, RF, SI/PI.
  • Experience with integrating AI tools in simulation workflows.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and break down complex problems into simplified and manageable parts
  • Knowledge of wireless power transfer systems and regulatory RF exposure standards
