Job summary

Apple Inc. in Austin, Texas, is seeking an EMC/EMI researcher to drive simulations and designs for consumer electronics. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle EMC/ESD/EMI/RFE challenges and push performance.

You will apply AI/ML to simulation workflows, simplify CAD geometries, and integrate s-parameters with circuit models, contributing to best-in-class electromagnetic performance for Apple products.

Qualifications

• An MSEE in an EMC or EM-related field.
• 3+ years of experience with EM simulation software such as CST, ANSYS, EMCoS, and/or COMSOL.
• Deep understanding of EM physics in the areas of EMC, EMI, and/or RFE.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Must be highly motivated and must have excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Simplify complex CAD geometries from various sources and make them ready for integration into complete systems.
• Import board files from various flexes and seamlessly integrate them into a comprehensive system assembly.
• Perform system-level and module-level EMC/ESD/EMI/RFE simulations.
• Perform complex hybrid EM/Circuit simulations by integrating s-parameters with circuit models.
• Review and analyze electrical and mechanical designs, and design and conduct experiments to validate simulation models.
• Apply AI and ML techniques to simulation workflows to facilitate early design explorations.
