Job summary

Universal Instruments is seeking a software engineer to research, design, and develop computer software systems for our advanced automation assembly equipment. The engineer will work hands-on in our engineering labs to improve existing features and develop new software solutions that enhance our automated systems.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field; 0–2 years experience.
• Notable experience with C and/or C++.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design and code software subsystems for automated equipment.
• Learn and integrate new hardware, software protocols, and engineering tools.
• Creative problems-solving and electronic diagnostic/troubleshooting abilities.
• Work with GIT and JIRA to collaborate with team members on project tasks.
• Collaborates with Electrical, Mechanical Engineering and Q&R on product performance requirements, design, test, and development activities.
