Job summary

Universal Instruments is seeking a software engineer to design, code, and integrate software for automated assembly equipment in our engineering labs. You will develop software algorithms to improve existing features and create new solutions with a hands-on approach.

You will collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams, use GIT and JIRA for project work, and contribute to quality processes within Universal's ecosystem.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or relevant major with 0-2 years of experience.
• Notable experience with C and/or C++.
• Willingness to work in a hands-on environment with automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and code software subsystems for automated equipment.
• Learn and integrate new hardware, software protocols, and engineering tools.
• Creative problem solving and electronic diagnostic/troubleshooting abilities.
• Work with GIT and JIRA to collaborate with team members on project tasks.
• Collaborates with Electrical, Mechanical Engineering and Q&R on product performance requirements, design, test, and development activities.
