Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Project Leader to drive multiple engineering projects from conception through product launch. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with Marketing, Operations, Quality and Suppliers to deliver conforming products on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and 7+ years engineering experience.
• Proven success in past work experience in designing a product that was mass produced.
• Experience managing low to moderately complex new product development projects.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and cost methodologies.
• Ability to coordinate with Marketing, cross functional teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership over moderate to highly complex design projects. Gives direction, guidance and engineering expertise to team members.
• Develops schedules, facilitates meetings, tracks timelines and presents project status.
• Responsible for completing assigned engineering projects within budget and schedule.
• Coordinate project planning for low to moderate complexity projects and identify risks.
• Applies understanding of the NPD process from conception through product launch.
• Frame up technical tradeoff discussions with Marketing and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure effective communication with cross-functional international teams and management.
• Identify design/manufacturing hurdles and suggest improvements.
