Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Jr Electrical & Computer Engineer in El Segundo, CA to collaborate on design, development, and research of interfaces, ensuring subsystems are integrated into a viable system and validated against mission requirements.

You will document, troubleshoot, and improve engineering processes, work with cross-functional teams, and act as a customer-facing advisor. A TS/SCI clearance and a degree in EE/CE are required, with up to 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to successfully obtain a CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops applicable).
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Python.
• Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering tools such as Cameo.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of electrical and computer engineering systems, including hardware, embedded systems, and networked solutions.
• Develop and review technical documentation, including schematics, interface control documents, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems and software engineers.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of system-level issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across engineering processes and tools.
• Use standard engineering processes to carry out assignments for research, design, development or analysis of components and interfaces.
• Translate technical guidance into usable information for the assignment.
• Plan, direct and coordinate engineering functions involved in design, installation, testing, validation and integration of systems.
