Job summary

KBR is seeking a Systems Engineer – Digital Engineering to join its National Security Solutions team in El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on MBSE-driven design and integration of DoD space-based and ground systems, supporting SSC PNT programs.

Collaborate with prime contractors and government customers, manage requirements and CONOPS, and contribute to architecture development. A SECRET clearance and MBSE tooling experience are required, with opportunities for career growth within KBR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience in digital systems design and integration.
• Proven experience in systems architecture development within Defense or regulated environments.
• Strong proficiency in MBSE methodologies and tools (SysML, UML).
• Active SECRET clearance

Responsibilities

• Planning and executing MBSE model development to support architecture development and digital engineering initiatives in support of program milestones
• Applying MBSE tools and techniques to capture system functions, services, interfaces, requirements, and concept of operations to support system design
• Supporting requirements analysis and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the system(s) within the models
• Production of model views, including DoDAF products, to support program milestones and documentation
• Enable the generation of systems engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, systems design, CONOPS, verification and test
• Supporting analysis activities utilizing MBSE models and tools such as Cameo
• Supporting development of study plans for architecture development and special trade studies
• Collaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force.
