Job summary

Sayari is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed within client environments, solving high-stakes problems in financial crime, supply chain risk, and national security. You will deliver end-to-end technical solutions, from data pipelines to API integrations, while briefing executives on outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in technical client-facing roles, strong Python/SQL skills, API experience, and the ability to operate across engineering, operations, and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a client-facing, technical role (Forward Deployed Engineer, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Technical Consulting, etc.).
• Proficiency in writing production-ready code, Python and data manipulation (Pandas).
• Deep fluency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs integration and reasoning.
• Strong communication to bridge code and mission with engineers, analysts, and leaders.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and learn new technologies quickly.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embed and build production-grade code within clients' ecosystems, using Python, SQL, and APIs.
• Own the technical lifecycle of deployments from discovery to operationalization, delivering mission-critical value.
• Serve as primary technical advisor for clients, leading workshops and debugging complex systems.
• Deconstruct high-level requirements into scalable data models and workflows, including data pipelines and AI/ML prototypes.
• Translate real-world needs into next-generation features for Sayari's platform.
