Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Quality Architect to design testing strategies and automation for mechatronic ECUs. You will align CI with VMEC requirements and SDV platform architecture, and lead cross-functional teams on quality practices. Up to 10% travel and a hybrid work policy apply.

The role demands deep experience in embedded software, CI/CD, and automotive standards, with strong leadership and communication skills to influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 8 years of software quality experience OR Master's degree with 6 years experience.
• 6 years with Python and C/C++ in embedded software development.
• 3 years with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker) and source control (GitHub, GitLab, Gerrit) and designing automated test frameworks.
• 2 years with automotive embedded systems (CAN, Ethernet); Linux and AUTOSAR; ASPICE awareness; and HIL/co-simulation for mechatronic ECUs.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust testing strategies and automation frameworks for mechatronic ECUs.
• Align CI system design with VMEC user requirements and SDV platform architecture.
• Lead cross-functional teams on test strategy, CI adoption, and built-in quality practices.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally; report to local office in a hybrid work setup.
