General Motors is seeking a Software Quality Architect to design testing strategies and automation for mechatronic ECUs. You will align CI with VMEC requirements and SDV platform architecture, and lead cross-functional teams on quality practices. Up to 10% travel and a hybrid work policy apply.

Design and architect robust testing strategies and automation frameworks utilizing executable specifications for mechatronic systems. Align CI system design and evolution with VMEC user requirements and the SDV Mechatronic Platform architecture. Communicate the CI vision, roadmap, and improvement opportunities to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Proactively identify and drive implementation of enhancements to CI systems, test infrastructure, and quality processes to improve reliability, coverage, and feedback speed. Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams on test strategy, CI adoption, and built-in quality practices for mechatronic ECUs. Up to 10% domestic and international travel. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and Eight (8) years of experience as a Software Quality Architect, Software Test Architect, Software Test Engineer, or related occupation OR Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and Six (6) years of experience as a Software Quality Architect, Software Test Architect, Software Test Engineer, or related occupation. Six (6) years of experience with: Python and C/C++, with experience in embedded software development. Three (3) years of experience with: CI/CD tools and frameworks including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Docker, and source control platforms including GitHub, GitLab, and Gerrit; and Designing and implementing automated test frameworks and pipelines, including integration with test management and defect tracking tools such as TestRail, Polarion, and JIRA. Two (2) years of experience with: Automotive embedded systems and communication technologies, including CAN and Ethernet, and operating environments including Linux and AUTOSAR; Applying software quality standards and methodologies including ASPICE, ISO 26262 (awareness), and behavior-driven or test-driven development (BDD/TDD); and Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and co-simulation-based test environments for mechatronic ECUs, including integrating test results into CI dashboards and quality metrics.
