Job summary

Donatech Corporation is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to plan and perform integration and testing of real-time embedded software on a combat vehicle system running Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

You will work with hardware modules, test software on Linux, scripts, networking, and cybersecurity hardening, collaborating across engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and verify requirements. Willingness to travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field.
• Minimum 2 years of software integration experience.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Familiar with Ethernet and CAN bus protocols.
• Ability to travel to customer sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Integrates and tests software applications running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and hardware components on a combat vehicle system
• Applies knowledge of Ethernet and CAN bus within software applications or tools to test and troubleshoot problems
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering and vehicle test teams to investigate reported issues and analyze collected data
• Ensures that technical approach is consistent with established engineering principles and practices
• Ensures that product outcomes meet customer needs and that customer and company technical, system, performance, process, and quality requirements are met
• Integration and testing of software applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating Systems
• Ability to build and maintain a software and hardware integration testbed
• Git and Jira/Gitlab Configuration Management tools
• Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are a MUST
• Familiarity with current computer applications and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines
• Ability to apply critical thinking to solve technical design and development problems
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to solve technical problems
• Ability to travel to the customer site
• Ability to work on combat vehicles systems
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software integration
• Integration of software applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Packaging software as RPMs and binary executables
• Drivers, shared objects, and static libraries
