Job summary

Donatech Corporation in Palmdale, CA is seeking an experienced software engineer to contribute to new development software for vehicle management systems, designed to fly both current platforms and future aircraft.

The role spans the full development lifecycle, with emphasis on embedded real-time software, requirements, design, implementation, integration, and flight testing. You will join an Agile team and collaborate across hardware, software, and avionics services in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

Experience with C/C++ in embedded real-time systems.
Experience with Linux or RTOS and toolchains.
Experience developing software for embedded real-time systems.
Experience with Systems Engineering processes (requirements development, use cases, data flows).
Experience Integrating hardware and software.
Experience working in an Agile software development team.
Experience with Agile tool chains (Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence).
Experience with Python.
Experience with safety/flight critical software processes (e.g. MIL-STD-516C, MIL-HDBK-1797, AC-17-01).
Experience with automated test methodologies.
Experience with networking protocols (IP, UDP, RTP).
Experience with Vehicle Management System (VMS) architectures.
Ability to build/maintain relationships and collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

Contribute to requirements generation, system and software design and implementation.
Focus on embedded real-time software development lifecycle within an Agile team.
Support avionics services and integration activities with multiple host systems and simulations.
