Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced embedded software engineering leader to guide a team developing Customer Terminal software for Project Leo. You will own technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with hardware, product, and operations teams to deliver reliable, secure software for production environments.

The role requires 3+ years managing engineering teams, hands-on expertise with embedded Linux, Rust, C++, and a strong SDLC

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 3+ years of providing technical leadership across all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with engineering practices for full software/hardware/networks lifecycle, including code reviews and source control.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded software development for Customer Terminal devices.
• Develop embedded software using Rust, C++, and C.
• Oversee SDLC from requirements to production deployment.
• Design state machines and secure compute environments.
• Support deployments and debugging on production systems.
• Create design specifications and technical documentation.
