Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks a Software Development Manager for Project Leo to lead an embedded software team building the core software for Leo customer terminals, spanning drivers, secure manufacturing, MAC/PHY, data plane, control plane and networking.

You will drive roadmap, requirements and technical design, collaborate with customers and partners, hire and grow the team, and iteratively delivering value to our customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
• Experience in full stack networking.
• 10+ years of engineering team management experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with our peer teams and customers to design suitable software systems and interfaces.
• Develop a strategic plan for the growth of the team, both from a software services and organization perspective.
• Hire & Develop a diverse team of software engineers.
• Aid in the design of mission critical systems in Project Leo.
• Collaborate with your fellow team members to form a strong foundation for a software organization in Project Leo
• Help on-board and mentor new team members.
