Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Systems team. You will design, develop, test, and integrate embedded software and firmware for Linux or VxWorks platforms in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of experience, strong C/C++ skills, familiarity with software architectures, scripting (Python/Bash), and experience in CI/CD. U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related STEM field with 2+ years of engineering experience (Master's with 0 years).
Experience with OOP in C/C++ and embedded software development.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
Experience with version control systems and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and integrate embedded software for Linux or VxWorks targets.
Apply standard software development life cycle processes and tools; collaborate with customers and team members.
Support integration and verification across hardware/software interfaces.
