Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for mission-critical systems. You will work on Linux or VxWorks environments, contribute to software architecture, and participate in Agile/DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field with 2+ years of engineering experience (Masters with 0 years exp).
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming in C/C++.
• Experience Developing Embedded Software on Linux or VxWorks RTOS.
• Familiarity with software architecture, design patterns and OO design.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Batch).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (DevOps).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, ClearCase) and Agile tools (Rally, Jira).
• Familiarity with Modeling Tools (CAMEO, Rational).
• US Citizenship Required and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for specialized hardware.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to meet program requirements.
