Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer – Level 3/4 for the Space Sector in McLean, VA. You will join a team developing space flight software platforms for Civil, Commercial and National Space Security programs.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, provides an onsite 9/80 schedule, and involves collaboration with multiple disciplines to deliver robust embedded software solutions for lunar base infrastructure and flight software integration.

Qualifications

• Requires active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Experience with C, Python, Linux and Git.
• Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker.
• Experience building and using CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work within an integrated team of engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software modules interacting with hardware interfaces.
• Define flight-software requirements, testing and verification plans.
• Configure BSPs and device drivers.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate software with simulation platforms.
• Prepare design docs, analyses and test results for customers.
