Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer – Level 3 or 4 in McLean, VA to support lunar base infrastructure for NASA. You will develop space flight software platforms, interfacing with hardware, simulators, and cross-disciplinary teams.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility, and onsite work with a 9/80 schedule; relocation assistance may be available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Top-Secret (TS) security clearance and SCI (TS/SCI); U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with software development unit/functional test frameworks and verification test scripting on hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with Spacecraft comms interfaces (MIL-STD-1553, SpaceWire) and embedded systems tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software modules interacting with hardware protocols and interfaces.
• Create and integrate board support packages and device drivers.
• Collaborate with engineers to define flight-software requirements, testing, and verification plans.
• Contribute to design documentation, analyses, and test results for customers.
