Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Dulles, VA is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer – Level 3 or 4 to support space flight software platforms in national security programs. You will develop embedded software modules, work with hardware interfaces, and collaborate with systems and hardware teams to deliver verified solutions.

Applicants must hold an active TS/SCI clearance, have experience with Python, Linux, and Git, and be able to obtain SAP access.

Qualifications

• Requires TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Experience in Python/Linux/Git.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to diverse engineers.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Advanced proficiency in C/C++, Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software modules interacting with hardware protocols and interfaces.
• Define Flight-Software requirements, testing and verification plan.
• Develop and configure BSPs and device drivers.
• Perform trade studies via simulations and hardware-in-the-loop platforms.
• Integrate flight software with the simulation platform across teams.
• Debug and integrate on simulation and hardware-in-the-loop environments.
• Prepare design documentation, analysis, and test results for internal/external customers.
• Collaborate with software developers and engineers to diagnose and fix issues.
