Job summary

Amazon Leo Government is seeking an experienced Device Software Development Engineer to design and develop embedded software for satellite and ground systems. You will work on fault-tolerant, real-time platforms and collaborate across hardware, systems, and product teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.

This role sits in Northridge, El Segundo, or Arlington with relocation benefits; on-site work is required five days a week.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
Experience programming with at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for Amazon Leo's satellite and ground terminal systems.
Leverage Embedded Linux and RTOS platforms for scalable, modular software.
Implement data processing, device control, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).
Debug hardware-software integration issues using logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable hardware-software interaction.
Mentor junior engineers and uphold high software quality standards.
