Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) seeks a Device Software Development Engineer to design and develop embedded software for satellite and ground terminals, focusing on fault-tolerant, real-time platforms and secure, high-performance solutions.

You will collaborate with hardware, systems, and product teams, mentor junior engineers, and participate in design reviews. This role supports U.S. government missions and may relocate to listed U.S. locations with onsite work five days a week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship software development experience.
• 3+ years designing or architecting large-scale systems.
• 2+ years of embedded/real-time software experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for satellite and ground systems.
• Leverage Embedded Linux/RTOS frameworks for scalable software.
• Implement data processing, device control, and networking protocols.
• Debug hardware-software integration issues with analysis tools.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure reliability and performance.
