Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop real-time C/C++ software for unmanned robotic vehicles. You will participate in full software lifecycle, design, implement, test, deploy, and support embedded systems in collaboration with hardware and software teams.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on embedded RTOS experience, strong knowledge of design patterns and SOLID, and US work authorization. On-site role with up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded real-time software experience in C/C++ for embedded processors.
• Experience with large, multithreaded embedded applications running on an RTOS.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full embedded software lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Develop embedded software features for unmanned robotic vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in development and deployed systems.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, mechanical, and software teams for successful integration.
• Develop maintainable C/C++ code using design patterns, SOLID principles, and reusable architectures.
• Apply test-driven practices through unit, integration, and simulation-based testing.
