Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join the LOCOTROL SW Team in Florida. You will design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain embedded software for locomotive control systems, primarily in C/C++ for varied embedded platforms.

Travel up to 10% and collaborate with PMs, system engineers, and test teams to meet customer requirements. You will work in a fast-paced environment using RTOS and bare-metal approaches, contribute to architecture decisions, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software components for LOCOTROL products.
• Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain software in C/C++ for embedded platforms.
• Mentor junior engineers as needed.
• Ensure software meets requirements and interfaces across teams.
• Drive performance and reliability improvements.
