Job summary

Lightmatter is hiring a talented software engineer to develop and extend the device software and firmware stack for Photonic Compute and Photonic interconnect products. You will collaborate with software and hardware teams to implement security, telemetry, virtualization, and remote administration features.

Responsibilities include defining control plane architecture, diagnostics, CMIS/OpenBMC integration, and debugging embedded systems using GDB and JTAG.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• Device driver development experience and kernel-side work.
• Linux software development experience with embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Define control plane architecture for photonic interconnect products.
• Define diagnostics and monitoring for photonic transceivers.
• Integrate with DataCenter administration using CMIS/OpenBMC/DMTF.
• Debug embedded systems with GDB/JTAG/logic analyzers.
• Engage with customers to gather requirements.
